Louisiana First Responders Christian Association is a new non-profit organization founded by Wayne Prejean. (Wayne is currently the South Central Jurisdiction UMM Vice President, former LA UMM President and former Fire Chief .) This UMM sponsored group is tasked with supporting and honoring our First Responders. The Louisiana State Fire Marshall is an enthusiastic supporter of the group which just launched their first two events. Wayne helped form a “Fire Chief Hall of Fame” which will be hosted by the State Fire Marshall in his own HQ facility.

The first two Fire Chiefs elected to the Hall of Fame were honored with a presentation before the Lafayette City Council and the Jena, LA City officials in their respective towns this week. Each of those present were gifted with a “Strength For Service to God and Community” devotional written expressly for First Responders. The recipients of the award were also presented with a plaque honoring their sacrificial service to the community.
